Iran's Supreme Leader said Friday that the Islamic State-claimed dual attacks that killed 17 people in Tehran this week will add to the hatred that Iranians harbor toward the USA and Saudi Arabia.
The Islamic republic's elite Revolutionary Guard has accused regional rival Saudi Arabia of involvement in Wednesday's attacks.
"The mastermind and main commander of terrorist attacks on the parliament and Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini was killed today by the security forces", Mahmoud Alavi was quoted as saying by Tasnim news agency.
Trump and the Saudi king last month signed eight different agreements approving nearly US$110 billion in arms sales to Saudi Arabia.
Iran's Intelligence Ministry said in a statement that five men involved in the attacks were Iranians who joined ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
This week's attacks at Parliament and the mausoleum of the Islamic Republic's founder Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini have exposed shortcomings within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which was supposed to be protecting these potent symbols of Iran's revolution.
The atrocities of ISIS in Tehran was condemned by Pope Francis who "laments this senseless and grave act of violence", and "assures the people of Iran of his prayers for peace".

But this fire seemed to tear up the building from the outside, gutting the outer apartments and blackening most of the facade . Authorities say the cause of the fire is not yet known and declined to speculate about how it started and spread so quickly.
The outlandish claim, which will alarm Donald Trump's administration, was made as thousands of Iranians attended a funeral ceremony for the victims.
IS have taken responsibility for the attack while this has not yet been verified.
"Death to America", "Death to the Saud" ruling family, and "We are not afraid", shouted the crowd gathered behind a lorry bearing the coffins of 15 of the 17 people killed in Wednesday's attacks. Iranian-backed forces in Iraq and Syria are helping battle the Islamic State.
On Friday Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said the attacks would only increase Tehran's hatred against the U.S. and its "stooges", including Saudi Arabia.
A local official at the port town of Jask, also in Hormuzgan, said five suspects linked to Islamic State were detained on Monday, Iran's Mizan news agency reported.
The Iranian security forces arrested 41 members of Daesh terror group (outlawed in Russia), in four provinces across the country, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
The comments sparked anger from Iranians on social media, who recalled the vigils in Tehran that followed the September 11 attacks.
