Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin struck the winning goal and Newcastle goalkeeper Freddie Woodman made a brilliant late penalty save as England beat Venezuela in the final of the Under-20 World Cup in South Korea on Sunday.
But their limelight was stolen by Terry, who turned up in full kit to gatecrash the celebrations and lift the trophy.
This was their biggest worldwide title since 1966 and was England's first appearance in the final of a global tournament since their World Cup victory 51 years ago.
Venezuela tested England goalkeeper Freddie Woodman with Yangel Herrera's header in the 50th.
As reported by the London Evening Standard, Calvert-Lewin said: "Words can't describe right now what I'm feeling, I'm just trying to take it all in".
England's millionaire players had to erect their own tents, cook their own food and complete a gruelling obstacle course, all in the name of teaching them how to think on their feet.
Calvert-Lewin bagged the victor on the rebound in the 35th minute after seeing his initial shot saved... Yeferson Soteldo, who came on for Ronaldo Chacon in the 51st, then set up Sergio Cordova for a one-on-one opportunity in the box, but he too was denied by Woodman.

The quest for greater tactical flexibility saw England line up in a 3-4-3 formation in March's 1-0 friendly defeat in Germany, reflecting the system's growing popularity in the Premier League.
Woodman - who spent the second half of last season on loan at Kilmarnock - saved a penalty in the showpiece in South Korea.

Solanke found Everton forward Lookman with a handsome pass in the 22nd minute but his rasping shot only won the English team a corner as Venuezeula goalkeeper Wuilker Farinez pushed the ball out.
