On Monday, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Bahrain led a string of countries that cut ties with Qatar over what they say is the emirate's financing of extremist groups and its ties to Iran, Saudi Arabia's regional arch-rival.

Moscow called on Saturday for dialogue between Qatar and its neighbours in the Gulf, promising help in mediating the crisis, as Russia's foreign minister met his Qatari counterpart.

Doha has vehemently denied the allegations.

Following the meeting, Çavuşoğlu said in a joint press conference with Khalifa that Erdoğan told Bahraini foreign minister that the Qatar dispute should be resolved before end of the Muslims' holy month of Ramadan. "With over eight million Indian expatriates living and working in these countries, we have vital stakes in the regional peace and stability", the ministry said in a release.

Turkish officials were not immediately available to comment on the report but Hurriyet said there were plans send some 200-250 soldiers within two months in the initial stage.

But authorities in the UAE and Bahrain have made praise for Qatar's government a criminal offence carrying possible jail time, and some Gulf citizens have anxious that the strong rhetoric on Qatar's foreign policy would divide their peoples.

Ankara has worked alongside Qatar to support Islamist groups and militias in Syria and elsewhere.

But turning up the heat on Qatar so soon after the countries cut off diplomatic ties could imperil the future of the US military's largest outpost in the Middle East - an air base 20 miles south of the capital Doha that hosts an estimated 11,000 military personnel.

Turkey, like Qatar, has supported the Muslim Brotherhood, which led an elected government in Egypt in 2013 but was ousted from power by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

Many experts saw the decision to turn on Qatar as an action promoted by Saudi Arabia to punish the tiny emirate for its independence and efforts to influence foreign policy matters. "We can not be happy in a situation when the relations between our partners are worsening", Lavrov said.

Ostapenko - who practiced ballroom dancing when younger - signaled her promise in tennis by winning the Wimbledon juniors in 2014. Taking all the risks, Jelena Ostapenko has won the opening set against Timea Bacsinszky in the French Open semifinals.

Denouncing the blacklist, he added: "There is a continuous escalation from these countries. but our strategic options are still diplomacy and dialogue". The list included members of the ruling family.

Bahrain's justice minister on Saturday said it would prosecute any person or political group caught supporting or even communicating with any person or group on the sanctions list. The Arab states have also ordered Qataris out within 14 days.

As the crisis has expanded, Doha, the world's largest exporter of natural gas, has called on its strategic allies and important partners around the world to intervene.

On Friday, the USA president and secretary of state took contrasting approaches to Washington's mediation efforts.

"The United States wants a resolution to the situation but it wants a resolution on terms consistent with the principles the president laid out in Riyadh", the official said, adding that Trump was concerned about the humanitarian impact of the crisis but also Qatar's support of "terrorist finance".

Earlier on Friday, Tillerson asked Saudi Arabia and its allies to halt the blockade because of "humanitarian consequences" and also because it was "hindering U.S. military actions in the region and the campaign against Isis".

A White House official pushed back on the notion that Trump and Tillerson are not on the same page, saying of the president that "what he said was consistent with what secretary of state said".

Four Arab countries which cut ties with Qatar this week over its alleged support of terrorism on Friday designated dozens of people with alleged links to Qatar as terrorists, intensifying a row that threatens the region's stability.

However, Trump unfazed by the accusation, gloated about his recent visit to the Middle east, which according to him paved the way for this move as he said in a series of tweets, "So good to see the Saudi Arabia visit with the King and 50 countries already paying off".
