Washington's woman in Qatar has become the latest in a string of USA ambassadors to turn on President Trump, with a series of tweets knocking him for labelling the Gulf state as the region's leading financier of terrorism.
"We are willing to sit and talk", he said on Tuesday in an interview with CNN, adding that the "progressive and modern" country believes in diplomacy and promoting peace in the Middle East.
"We don't see a military solution as an option" to the crisis, he says. Pakistan has organized special flights to bring back pilgrims stranded in Qatar on their way home from Mecca, said Pakistan International Airlines chief executive officer Nayyar Hayat.
Qatar " s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said today that his country is open to Kuwait " s mediation efforts to reduce tension with its Arab neighbors from the Persian Gulf who broke diplomatic relations.
Qatar is not ready to change its foreign policy to resolve a dispute with fellow Gulf Arab states and will never compromise, foreign minister said.
His posts came as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain accused Qatar of supporting terrorism and cut diplomatic ties with the Gulf state, which hosts a major US military base.
"We are an independent country with sovereignty", he said, rejecting tutelage from other states.
Trump suggests Iran shares some blame for extremist attacks
State TV said one of the attackers was killed by security guards and that a woman was arrested following the shrine attack. After being recruited by ISIS, they left Iran to join the group and carry out crimes in Mosul and Raqqa .
"Very, very huge logistical, financial support for extremist groups, support also for some terrorist organizations such as al-Nusra (Front) and some organizations in Libya and in our area, such as the Sinai and other areas".
Accusing the Qatari government of being in "denial", Anwar Gargash, UAE state minister for foreign affairs, said: "This is not about regime change - this is about change of policy, change of approach". "This dispute is threatening the stability of the entire region", he added.
Daily life and projects in Qatar will not be affected, he said, stressing that Qatar designed its programmes and took such steps in order to independently achieve its vision regardless of any political pressures. "Actually the cooperation between our security and intelligence agencies between Qatar and Saudi has been serving the goal of the national security of Saudi".
Saudi Arabia has also closed off Qatar's only land border.
According to the Qatari Foreign Minister, Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani spoke by telephone last night with his Kuwaiti counterpart and, at the latter's request, made a decision to postpone an official address to the public about Doha's position on the current situation. "In all battlefields, there are adversaries", he told CNN.
He said that there have been multiple reports issued by official agencies in the United States "commending our role in combating terror financing".
