Finally, the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is going to introduce Microsoft's mixed reality platform in a big way.
Announced yesterday during day two of Microsoft's three-day Build developer conference in Seattle, the Fall Creators Update will introduce new ways to work across devices, transform photos and videos into stories, and put mixed-reality applications to new uses.
The Fall Creators Update - a similar marketing moniker to a spring edition released in April - will come with Timeline, a feature created to let you jump back into files you were using a few hours or days ago as if you'd never left.
Microsoft also is opening up Windows 10 so it works better with smartphones and tablets running on Apple's iOS and Google's Android software.
Another feature expands the realm of the virtual clipboard, enabling a copy and paste function from Windows to other operating systems and back again.
This is the most exciting feature coming with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. A preview for early testers was released Thursday.
As with other Windows 10 updates, this will be free for existing Windows 10 users.

This means that users will easily be able to switch between their mobile device and Windows 10 PC and continue working seamlessly.
