Caroline Kennedy is known for her classic sense of style and fashionable know-how, so it came as quite a shock to see the diplomat take to the red carpet at this year's Met Gala in a highly unflattering - and rather weird - dress that quite closely resembled an antique lampshade.

The event is co-chaired by the fabulous Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue.

"Art of the In-Between" was one of the most hyped Met Gala's in recent memory. In fact, fashion watchers even compared her look to that of Satan.

Rihanna also turned heads at the event, dubbed the Oscars of the East Coast, in an outfit covered in flower-like protrusions by the fund-raiser's honouree, Comme des Garcons founder Rei Kawakubo.

There is but one rule when it comes to sticking the landing of a Met Gala red carpet look - and it has nothing to do with aspirations of "Best Dressed".

Clement wary of more twists in relegation battle
West Brom ended a run of five games without a goal to claim a point at Burnley to cement their top half position. But Wales global Vokes headed in in the 86 minute to put the Clarets six points clear of the relegation zone.

She chose an architectural Comme des Garçons piece off the Fall 2016 runway; a floral layered piece featuring oversized petals inspired 18th-century "punks" as a form of reverence to the Japanese designer honoured at the costume institute exhbition (Rei Kawakubo).

The red carpet showcased not just some great style moments but also s0me adorable couples, and Chrissy Teigen and John Legend and Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were everyone's relationship goals as usual. "It's very fearless to wear something that disguises who you are so much on the red carpet".

Last night umpteen celebrities, models, designers and socialites strutted down the (notably) beige carpet of the annual Met Gala. She was later joined by co-hosts Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams.

But despite not attending the star-studded bash, the insider insisted the "Famous" hitmaker is in "a much better place" than he was past year, and has made "good progress" in getting his mental health back on track.
