Avery Bradley No.0 of the Boston Celtics dunks against the Washington Wizards during the first half of Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals at TD Garden on Thursday in Boston, Massachusetts.

Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas was fined $25,000 by the National Basketball Association for "directing inappropriate language" toward a fan during Game 4 against the Washington Wizards at Verizon Center on Sunday.

The Celtics and Wizards have played nine times this year, and the home team has won all nine games. Isaiah Thomas had 19 points to lead the Celtics, but didn't get much help from his fellow starters.

Yes, it's always a worthless argument when we play the ranking game. This is why it's essential to keep close tabs on coaching adjustments and strategic shifts that take place from game to game.

Game seven would be in Boston on Monday.

The Celtics started the second quarter where they left off, as Jae Crowder's three-pointer from the corner put Boston up 41-23. He outscored Wall and Bradley Beal, who went to the locker room with 24 combined points on 10-for-27 shooting.

Boston won each quarter, and had four of their starting lineup score at least 18 points.

Miley Cyrus returns to pop with breezy new single 'Malibu'
This is a very different Miley from her "Wrecking Ball" days, and you won't be able to stop watching. Cyrus shot into stardom by playing the titular role in Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana".

"Man, I feel like we all should bring ear plugs", the Wizards forward said. We've got to do a better job of keying on those guys also and not giving them open looks. The home team has been dominant in the series, but Washington looks to be the team more likely to steal a road game. In Game 5 the Wizards understood how that felt. But if we lock in like we did tonight, limit our turnovers, limit their transition that gives us the best chance to win the game.

He said he's found maturity to step back and not force plays that he might not have had earlier in his career.

The situation in question was caught on video as Thomas apparently said to someone in the crowd, "I will f*** you up and you know that".

"That's how I got to play", Thomas said. A lineup largely made up of non-starters propelled the Celtics to a 19-point advantage. Boston is 59-33 overall, 33-13 at home and 46-44-2 against the spread.

Thomas finished with 18 points, marking the third straight game of which he scored less than 20 points.

The Celtics came into this game with a gameplan surrounding frequent movement from the corners and using IT as a screener. Shot 58 percent from the field (25 of 43) in the first half.

Celtics fans chanted "We want Oubre!" But there was something more expressive to this performance, as if for the first time he felt wholly comfortable and confident in Boston. The All-Star said he felt the Wizards were able to get away with holding and grabbing him at times during a Game 4 loss in which he didn't once visit the foul line. The Wizards struggled on offense in the first quarter and in turn, it made them struggle on defense. They knew the Celtics would put everything into this game because losing would mean the Wizards could eliminate them on Friday in D.C. But the Wizards - young, prone to overconfidence and always preferring the hard way - couldn't muster the appropriate intensity.
