After bruising month-long campaign, voters decide in British Columbia

"My No. 1 goal in this riding is to get that highway fixed and it will be fixed if I'm re-elected", she said.

She's also a longtime Kelowna resident, who pointed out she couldn't run in any other riding because the community is where her heart is.

Weaver addressed supporters shortly after Clark, and revealed he has spoken with the leaders of both the Liberals and NDP about how he intends to move forward.

"If they can't inspire their voters then that's not really the Green Party's fault", he said. "There are many more votes to count before this election is over", he said.

Participating schools are supplied with free learning materials and election supplies to help them engage in the campaign and organize a parallel vote.

"People growing up in North Vancouver will never be able to live in North Vancouver", he said.

The campaign began four weeks ago with Clark and the Horgan locked in a tight race to be premier, and Weaver hoping to build upon his one seat in the legislature.

Thornthwaite has represented the riding since 2009, easily edging out NDP candidate and future District of North Vancouver Coun.

OK, not the "real" election, but that's according to thousands of young people in B.C. below the voting age.

Final voting results will not be available until after the conclusion of final count, which will commence on May 22.
