LeBron James, for the 7th year in a row, is headed to the Eastern Conference Finals after sweeping the best team the Toronto Raptors have ever assembled.

James showed determination throughout the game to totally obliterate the Raptors in the second quarter as the Cavs distanced themselves.

LeBron James was dominant once again with 35 points, while Kyrie Irving resumed his role as a closer to help clinch the series on the road.

The Cavaliers will play the victor of Boston vs Washington series.

All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry, who has a left ankle sprain, says he will not play in Sunday's Game 4 as the Toronto Raptors try to avoid a sweep against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"At the end of the day, you gotta give (Cleveland) credit", said a downcast DeRozan, his young daughter Diar - dressed in a white sequined No. 10 Raptors jacket, propped on his lap. "It's not just given to you, you have to go out and earn it".

The idea that a team in the Eastern Conference can stop the Cleveland Cavaliers can be put to rest. So I went back and found a post I made 11 years ago on a forum and updated the last 11 seasons. I don't take many of those shots, but I'm capable of making those shots.

A three by James gave the Cavs a 16-point lead at 10:05 of the third, but threes by Joseph, Ibaka, and Powell sparked a Raptors rally that saw them twice pull within five points late in the third.

Kyrie Irving added 27 points for the Cavaliers and Kyle Korver scored 18 off the bench. The Raptors' lead was a 16-point deficit by early in the third quarter. This was a Raptors team created to compete over the long haul, and they have for four solid years, through ups and downs, injuries, and everything else that comes along with that. He could have played his last game as a Raptor, given he is eligible for free agency after the season.

The Cavs face either Boston or Washington in the conference finals.

"It doesn't matter to me", he said.

With their backs against the proverbial wall, the Raptors came out firing in Game 4 and built an 11-point lead, 21-10, on the strength of a 16-4 scoring run.

“Its hard to say, ” Casey said when asked how close the Raptors team, as now constructed, were to making a legitimate run at the Cavs. And if this is indeed the last game of the season - or of an era as we now conceive of it - I'm glad we got to watch it. Win or lose today, let's remember that. The Cavs' only change was that LeBron James played the entire first instead of sitting out the final few minutes like normal.

Corey Joseph did a great job of filling in for Lowry with 20 points and 12 assists. James was 3-0 against Toronto in the regular season, too. Those are whoppers, but then you take a look at his percentages and realize he shot 57 percent overall, 48 percent from 3-point range, and over the two games in Toronto made 23-of-25 from the foul line. Cleveland outscored Toronto 17-9 over the final 6:15, Irving producing all 11 points in one key 11-2 Cavs run. Ill say just him out there is much different from past year.”.

But those hopes quickly began to fade as a slew of three-pointers by Cleveland left Toronto trailing the Cavaliers 61-49 at halftime.

"It's on us to let this sink in and understand we gotta come back better, individual and team-wise", DeRozan said.
