Series Prediction: The games have yet to be announced, but I'm taking Edmonton in seven. But we've been here before. Somehow they kept the Sharks off the board on the power play (0-for-3 overall) in Game 5, and they were in full survival mode when the Sharks were trying to tie it late.

We're used to hockey players putting their bodies on the line in every game and never letting, say, a couple of missing teeth keep them off the ice.
And if you consider why Thornton or Marleau would accept a pay cut such as that after having fairly solid campaigns, it's worth considering what both stand to accomplish in San Jose should they stick around and allow the Sharks to have extra cap space to throw at improving the team. From this point on it's anyone's game no matter where you finished in the regular season. Jones entered Saturday with a.939 save percentage.
