A judge from the Bristol County Superior Court ordered the three notes Hernandez wrote in prison to be released to his family by the time he was buried.

In a subsequent follow-up story yesterday, the same website identified 22-year-old Kyle Kennedy as the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center inmate that Hernandez penned one of his three suicide notes to, with Kennedy's lawyer confirming that the former National Football League star did pen a letter to his client. Kennedy's lawyer declined to describe Kennedy's relationship to Hernandez but said through a spokesman that Kennedy had been placed on suicide watch as a precaution.

That argument won in court as the family gathered for Hernandez's funeral.
