Nepal President Bidya Devi Bhandari arrived here today on a two-day visit to Odisha during which she will visit Lingaraj Temple and Sri Jagannth Temple at Puri.
Nepalese President Bidya Devi Bhandari held talks with Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Minister for Home Affairs Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Finance and Defence Minister Arun Jaitley.
"They have also expressed the commitment to support Nepal in its development endeavours", Mahat was cited by Himalayan Times as saying.
In Kathmandu today, Mahat said Bhandari's visit has been "fruitful" in enhancing the bilateral relations and goodwill between the two neighbours.
U.S. an ally '100 percent'
At the outset of their meeting, Pence reiterated to Abe his statement in South Korea that the United States has run out of patience with Pyongyang's moves.
"The Indian president, prime minister and leaders of various political parties during their meetings with President Bhandari highlighted the significance of Nepal-India ties and extended best wishes for the efforts Nepal is making to implement the constitution", said Mahat.
"The Guard of Honour that India gave to Nepal's President at Rashtrapati Bhawan is an important thing".
This is Bhandari's first visit to foreign since assuming office in 2015. The Nepalese President is scheduled to visit Lingaraj temple and spend the night at a hotel here. She is expected to visit to Gujarat and Odisha. At Rajkot airport, Bhandari was greeted by Gujarat minister of state for home Pradeepsinh Jadeja and other senior officers. She was accompanied by former Gujarat chief minister Keshubhai Patel, who is also chairman of the Somnath Temple Trust.
