US President Donald Trump and first lady Melania on Monday welcomed more than 20,000 children and parents to the White House to hunt for Easter eggs and participate in egg-rolling races, a tradition that dates back to 1878.

The 139th annual White House Easter Egg roll guest list included military families, children from local schools and hospitals, and children of staff members. The Bunny was given a microphone and a stand but did not speak to the crowd. Some people who hoped to attend the event were even anxious that it would be canceled. Unfortunately, the President committed two gaffes, not including the undercover Donnie Darko bunny.

Melania and Barron had both raised their hands to their hearts as a sign of respect, but Trump's mind appeared to have wandered elsewhere. Many commented about the Slovenian-born First Lady showing more respect towards the national anthem than the President himself.

Watch Melania Trump give her husband, Donald, a little nudge to remind him to put his hand over his heart during national anthem.

Le Pen faced a smaller gathering in an auditorium in Paris on Monday and will be on an evening television news show. Both are suspected Islamic radicals, according to the Paris prosecutors' office, which is leading the probe.

Along with his wife Melania and 11-year-old son Barron, Trump's older sons, Don Jr. and Eric, and their wives, and daughter Tiffany also attended the event.

The president stopped for photos and to autograph hats emblazoned with his "Make America Great Again" slogan, while Melania read Kathie Lee Gifford's Party Animals to children on the White House lawn.

According to Politico, the White House also didn't touch base with its big music act, the Martin Family Circus (last year, Beyonce made a surprise visit and Idina Menzel performed), until about a month ago and actually nailed down their performance in recent days. This year's 139th Easter Egg Roll is Trump's first Easter celebration after being hailed as the President of the United States. From the first lady's incredible outfit, to all the adorable kiddos, you just have to see the sweet pics from the event!

This year's Easter Egg Roll also did not include performances by top celebrities or professional athletes.
