When that many diehard Star Wars lovers show up in one place, costumes and all, it raises some unique opportunities, and a group of fans seized the day by recreating a particularly memorable scene from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
The upcoming season of a television series from the "Star Wars" universe will be the show's last.
It's an unfortunate given when you do a prequel series that you have to explain where your never-before-seen characters are during the action of the main franchise. Sure, Rebels and Rogue One both factor in before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope, but even if the audience knows where the story is headed, that shouldn't stop LucasFilm and the storytellers to create more memorable characters that will only enhance the Star Wars galaxy. On Rebels, we have met an older, grizzled Captain Rex from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but when he was re-introduced, it was alongside two other Clone Troopers, Wolffe and Gregor. In fact, the effects of that big battle was one of the reasons the Rebel Alliance didn't trust Jyn Erso right away and send the Alliance to Scarif, Rebels executive producer Dave Filoni said. Whether or not we'll see that actual battle in the final season of Rebels remains unconfirmed. They're really hesitant to actually fight.
Turkey's referendum and what's next
Erdogan claimed victory on Sunday after a majority of Turkish voters appeared to have granted the president sweeping new powers. The main secularist opposition People's Republican Party said it was still unclear how many votes were affected.
A 2-minute trailer is now online for the last season, which is to debut in the fall.
The fan version loses a bit of that, but thanks to the expendable rebel troops playing along as good sports, Vader still looks pretty powerful reflecting imaginary blaster shots, slicing into people with his lightsaber, and-if I'm not mistaken-delivering a fairly convincing Force choke around the 23-second mark thanks to some quick improv.
