White, who is now in Taiwan to garner information from Apple's supply chain, cited a "smartphone contact" who is "diligently following the supply chain data points" who cites just a product named the iPhone 8 as the source of information.
"However, our contact strongly believes the 5.8-inch iPhone will be delayed by several weeks due to challenges around the 3D sensing technology but still in time for the December holidays", said Drexel Hamilton analyst Brian White, Indian Express reported.
However, a number of rumours have cropped up over the last few months, suggesting significant shifts in Apple's design format, the company's flirtations with VR/AR capabilities, pricing of future iPhones.
