Why faulty machines do not vote in favour of other political parties?
After a persistent attack by the Opposition parties and, particularly by Arvind Kejriwal, the Election Commission has made a decision to throw an open challenge to prove that Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) can not be tampered with.
"The Election Commission is still not ready to probe the issue of EVM tampering despite all the evidence..."
The allegations surfaced after the video of an EVM demo in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind became viral online; a VVPAT or Voter-Verified Paper Audit Trail that confirms the party that the voter has chosen kept ejecting BJP slips.
Moily reiterated that EVMs were tested time and again even during the UPA regime and said that to criticise EVMs after poll defeat was nothing but a defeatist mindset. It means that their software was changed, the code and programming was changed.
He claimed that in the April 23 MCD elections, "malfunctioning EVMs are being brought from Rajasthan to conduct the civic body polls". "This raises suspicion if the tampering is being done on its directions", Kejriwal said.
Tillerson meets with Putin during Russian Federation visit
Spicer did not elaborate on what a potential USA response could include, but said additional actions are a possibility. Tillerson has a meeting set later Wednesday in Moscow with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"All EVMs in Rajasthan are manipulated".
The Delhi Chief Minister further said the people of India won't forgive the Election Commission and BJP for the "game", which they are playing with the Constitution.
The Election Commission has repeatedly and emphatically denied AAP's allegation that doctored EVMs had a role to play in the recent elections in Uttar Pradesh and other states.
Leaders of at least 13 Opposition parties had met the Chief Election Commissioner on Monday evening demanding that their concerns on the issue be addressed. The election petition has to be filed within 45 days. No EVMs have been moved from Uttar Pradesh for the objective of By-polls in Madhya Pradesh.
Former Union minister and senior leader of the Congress Veerappa Moily has slammed his party for jumping on the bandwagon to oppose EVMs.
