An excerpt from White's research note with investment banking firm Drexel Hamilton, obtained by Macrumours, claims "Our contact strongly believes the 5.8-inch iPhone 8 will be delayed by several weeks due to challenges around the 3D sensing technology, but still in time for the December holidays". Despite the device launching alongside the other models, sources expect stock to not be available until within quarter 4 of 2017.
While the iPhone 8 is primed to be one of the biggest technological leaps forward in the handset's 10 year history, one of its most exciting rumored features might not be ready for launch after all. White also noted that the 3D sensing technology and the OLED display will only be available for "iPhone 8", this could mean that the iPhone 7s and the iPhone7s Plus should be released in September.
Moreover, Apple is also expected to bring wireless charging and the famous Touch ID might be placed under the display which was previously touted to be introduced in Samsung Galaxy S8.
In March, Apple was awarded a patent for 3-D facial recognition.
Sergio Garcia Wins First Major in Playoff at Masters
Spieth had it all to do after bogeying three and birdieing just one of his opening six holes. This year's Masters is his 74th major championship and he is still yet to win one.
A user may be able to unlock the device by looking at it, for example. Despite the delays, there is some good news about the next flagship smartphone from Apple.
Aside from the 5.8-inch OLED screen that Apple ordered from Samsung, iPhone 8 is packed with tons of promising features and specs.
The camera is one of the features that Apple has been holding onto regarding its ambitions in augmented reality. Recalling a report from last week, Apple is reportedly facing some technical issues relating to the lamination process of curved OLED panels and delayed adoption of a 3D sensing system which is why the availability of the 5.8-inch iPhone 8 might be delayed a few weeks. The iPhone 8 will reportedly be cheaper in the United Kingdom than previously thought. The standard 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhones are expected to go on sale in September, however. Our checks indicate; however, that 3-D sensing could be pushed out to 2H18 and potentially introduced on an "iPhone 8s" model rather than this year's model (with Chinese OEMs front running the technology in 1H18)."-Rajvindra Gill, analyst, Needham & Co".
