The suspected gunman, 53-year-old Cedric Anderson, of Riverside, shot his wife, 53-year-old Elaine Smith.

Updated 6:56 p.m. ET on 4/10/17: Hours after the shooting occurred, the Associated Press reported an 8-year-old student who was shot in the San Bernardino classroom has died. Both of the children who were hit were standing behind Smith.

One of the students, an 8-year-old boy named Jonathan Martinez, died after being rushed to the hospital.

A second student was wounded by the gunman, who authorities said had a criminal history that included domestic violence and weapons charges.

The Obama administration rule required the Social Security Administration to send in the names of beneficiaries with mental impairments who also have a third party manage their benefits.

Students at North Park Elementary School - which has around 500 students between kindergarten and sixth grade - were transported to a nearby campus, where they were "having snacks, playing games and watching a Disney movie", the police department tweeted. Television news footage showed students, escorted by police officers, walking off campus hand-in-hand. Children exiting Cajon High School were seen skipping and giving high-fives to the adults around them, because the adults set a calm example.

Tillerson answered a question about effecting regime change by saying the USA was organizing a coalition to do just that. Until Monday, U.S. officials had said they weren't sure whether Russian Federation or Syria operated the drone.

When students got to the high school, many carrying glow sticks they had been given to pass the time, they got hugs from emotional parents, many in tears.

When the buses first pulled away from the elementary school, some parents ran alongside, waving and trying to recognize their children inside.

"She loved life, her career, and especially her children", said Joshua Smith, one of Karen Smith's four children.

"I was really elated". "A parent's ability to stay calm and kind of take a step back and think through a situation makes a big difference in how a child copes", she explained.

"It's frustrating for us as parents but also understandable", Holly Penalber said of the long wait, which most parents seemed resigned to.

San Bernardino was the site of one of the nation's worst terror attacks in December 2015. Husband-and-wife shooters Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik were killed in a gunbattle with authorities later that day.

Monday's shooting will likely reignite the debate on gun violence in the United States, where attempts to put in place tougher gun control measures have failed, despite a series of mass killings.
