The University of Central Florida was the only Group of Five school represented in the coaches poll.

In Week 0, the Miami Hurricanes will take on the Florida Gators and the Arizona Wildcats will battle the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.

The Pac-12 South's USC, UCLA and Arizona State also received votes in the poll. Clemson and Alabama have alternated winning the last four championships.
