Belgium global Divock Origi has committed his future to Premier League giants Liverpool after signing a new long term deal at Anfield.
"I'm very happy to be able to sign this contract and it gives you a boost at the beginning of the season, as well as the end of the season past year".
Klopp enjoyed a confident performance from his players - something he acknowledged could be one of many enjoyable by-products from their triumphant outing in Madrid last month.
"I always felt comfortable here. I became a man here at this club, I signed when I was 19", Origi said on Liverpool's website.
Origi reported back to Melwood for preseason training on Monday and signalled his desire to play a further part in helping Liverpool win silverware. "All the young boys today ... they're all new players for us".
"We won it five weeks ago and I had a wonderful summer, the best summer I ever had because people didn't say when they wanted a picture with me, "I'm so sorry for you", which they usually did in the last five years", he added. "All the young boys didn't play for us past year".

Geraint Thomas, the defending champion, rode strongly on the final incline, getting ahead of his teammate Egan Bernal . Belgium's Dylan Teuns, the victor of stage six yesterday, is a further 26 seconds off the pace in third.
As such, Origi was the subject of interest from several clubs, especially considering he had just a single year remaining on his contract with Liverpool.
The Belgium worldwide thrived following the arrival of Jürgen Klopp as manager during the 2015-16 campaign as the Reds reached two major cup finals.
Origi made 31 appearances for VfL Wolfsburg while on loan in the Bundesliga in 2017/18, scoring six goals and two assists before returning to Anfield.
Yet, having retained the core of the side that surged to Champions League glory, it would appear that Klopp has enough faith in his players to be able to mount a significant challenge to Manchester City's stronghold without another big summer spend. "At the end of my career I want to sit back and be proud that I used all of my gifts and talents".
Last season Origi earned himself cult-hero status with a stoppage-time derby victor against Everton before scoring twice in the 4-0 Champions League semi-final second leg success over Barcelona and then again in the final victory over Tottenham in Madrid.
