PlayStation's next State of Play is next week

Furthermore, Sony also mentioned that there would be some updates and announcements for upcoming PS4 titles.

Sadly, those who are waiting for an announcement about Sony's next-gen console, the PlayStation 5, won't hear anything about it this State of Play.

The next episode of PlayStation's State of Play will kick off this Thursday, May 9.

A video broadcast of Sony's new State of Play that will start on Thursday, May 9, at 3 p.m. PT, in which new details of MediEvil Remake will be given and a new game will be announced. The first episode clocked in a just under 20 minutes with episode two expected to be around half that time. The big deals are more footage of the MediEvil remake (which was announced last October) and a "new title announcement", which will probably be something akin to the aforementioned VR game. With PlayStation not making an appearance at E3 and no plans for a PlayStation Experience, one has to wonder what Sony's plans are for this year. That might not be the case for the second State of Play.

The State of Play presentation will take place on May 9 at 11pm United Kingdom time.
