Irving backtracks on plans to re-sign with Celtics

In Celtics circles, some fear if the Knicks are able to sign Kevin Durant this coming offseason - which is seemingly the team's biggest plan for after the year - the prospect of Irving leaving for NY "could spell trouble for Boston's chances of holding onto" the All-Star guard, according to the report.

But when asked after the game if his mind has changed about remaining a Celtic, he said: "Ask me July 1". However, this season for Boston hasn't gone as everyone expected it to.

Those feelings only intensified Thursday, when the Knicks pulled off a blockbuster Kristaps Porzingis trade that opened up room for two max-contract free agents to sign here this summer.

Kyrie Irving insists his focus is exclusively on the current season and winning a championship with the Celtics, after Knicks fans called for the guard's arrival at Madison Square Garden.

"I mean, it would be dope to play with KD and Kyrie, but whichever team drafts me, I'll be ready to play hard and work", Williamson said, according to ESPN's David M. Hale.

Federal judge threatens to END Roger Stone's non-stop media tour
Trump spoke hours before Stone appeared in federal court in Washington , D.C. "I wish Roger would just say less". Stone can discuss "foreign relations, immigration or Tom Brady" as much as he wants, the judge said.

So the former New Jersey high school star figured it would be a scene when he was back in the area.

"I respect the Knicks organization", Irving said.

If it works, and Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving bring the playoffs back to NY, it will have been the deal that finally got the Knicks moving toward the top after years of running in place. "Obviously, they are making moves to position themselves for this upcoming summer".

Irving said it became clear to him recently he wanted to re-sign with Boston and that he aspires to finish his career among the franchise's greats. "I wish them the best". "That's just where it stands".

The Celtics host the Thunder on Super Bowl Sunday. Obviously Boston's still at the head of that race. That's what excited me a lot about the beginning of the season, was the opportunity to come into this season and doing what we planned on doing.
