Trump's lashing out Wednesday morning appeared to be prompted by the trial of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, which began on Tuesday and which is being prosecuted by Mueller's team. He was out to STOP THE ELECTION OF DONALD TRUMP.

Also on Wednesday, counsel to the president, Jay Sekulow, told Fox News that the president's tweet was not an order. The president denied the claim in a tweet.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from overseeing the Russian Federation investigation due to his role on the Trump campaign.
Five of these individuals have pleaded guilty, including three former Trump advisors, although none of the crimes they have admitted to directly relate to collusion with Russian Federation.

Mr Manafort's involvement in the Trump campaign spanned six months, and he helped lead efforts to secure the GOP nomination for Mr Trump in 2016.
