The smartphone is a big jump from the K6 Note it replaces - so much so that Lenovo skipped the K7 Note altogether. Having the Android 7.1.1 Nougat also means users will get faster updates and hopefully better performance. Lenovo claims that it actually designed and developed a K7 Note but ultimately chose to shelve it as the company felt that it was too much of an incremental update to the K6 Note. The K8 Note is the successor of Lenovo K6 Note that was launched previous year in India. Smartphone makers paired the processor with 3GB/4GB RAM, and it will help the phone to have the multitasking capabilities. There is a Pro mode for the front-facing camera as well.
The Lenovo K8 Note has everything that you can ask from a budget friendly smartphone. It will be made available in Fine Gold and Venom Black colour variants.

A deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor powers the Lenovo smartphone. The 13 Megapixel lens is the primary sensor while the 5 Megapixel lens is a secondary depth sensor for enhanced depth of field. The front camera has a resolution of 13 Megapixels with a full light LED flash. While the main camera is 13MP, the second camera of the dual camera is 5MP.
Riz Ahmed in talks to join Venom
While details on Ahmed's role have not yet been revealed, sources say that he'll be playing a popular Marvel Comics character . If the talks with Ahmed turn out to be successful, he will join Tom Hardy , who was earlier confirmed to star in the film.
While Lenovo has strategically placed "K8 Note" in a fiercely-competitive segment, it would be interesting to see how it proves to be a stiff competition to Xiaomi "Redmi Note 4".
Lenovo's Vibe UI was heavily-bloated and made devices pretty slow. Stock Android on K8 Note is a massive improvement.
Dolby Atoms which has the dedicated Music Key and TheaterMax is the entertainment providing features in this smartphone. There's also a dedicated Music Key on the smartphone, which allows users to launch the music app, and control playback, based on shortcuts. The connecticity options include Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G VoLTE, GPS, A-GPS and microUSB.
This device does not have the hybrid SIM card slot. The lack of NFC and a USB Type-C port though is a disappointment.
The Lenovo K8 Note smartphone has been launched in India, featuring the dual camera setup on the back that the company had teased. The phone will be available exclusively through Amazon India starting August 18.
