The Tile Pro series, made up of the Tile Style and Tile Sport, are also waterproof and can be integrated with smart speakers like Google Home and devices that have Google Assistant.
The company says that the Tile Pro doubles the detection range to 200 feet, and the companion app has a clearer proximity meter created to help you home in on your misplaced items. Like earlier designs, both feature holes that allow them to easily be attached to your keychain, backpack or anything else with a loop. And the company has also introduced support for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, so users can say for example, "Alexa, ask Tile to ring my keys", to engage the ringtone if they are within Bluetooth range.
The new Tile app brings features designed for the new trackers, such as volume control and eight ringtones. The redesigned proximity meter offers improved accuracy with the new products' 200-foot range. If an item is tucked deep underneath blankets or if the user doesn't want to interrupt those around them, the proximity meter will visually let the user know if they are getting closer or further away from the item. We first tried the original version back in 2013, and a slimmer version past year. "It's a simple action, but one that has a lasting impact", said Farley. Tap either the "Find" button or the Tile icon and a series of green rings will appear. When you enable the Tile skill (coming to United Kingdom users later in August) you can say "Alexa, ask Tile to find my keys".
