The Hennepin County Medical Examiner released the cause of death for two victims in Wednesday's explosion at Minnehaha Academy. Carlson, who graduated from the school in 1953, was not scheduled to work the day of the blast until 3 p.m. but went in early because he had a doctor's appointment, according to KARE-TV. The blast ignited a fire and caused a portion of a school building to collapse.
USA safety investigators on Friday began their weeklong inquiry into a deadly explosion at a Christian private school in Minneapolis, including examining whether workers moving a gas meter could have caused the blast.
National Transportation Safety Board investigators arrived at the scene Thursday.
Two other adults remained hospitalized Thursday in satisfactory condition.
The school said Carlson was "Minnehaha's biggest cheerleader and a long-time presence in the school".
Hundreds of people packed a campus chapel to pray and comfort each other at the Minneapolis school where two people were killed and more than a-half dozen others were hurt in an explosion and partial building collapse.
Early exposure to porn encourages misogyny
Some 33.4 percent said they intentionally sought out porn, while 17.2 percent said they were forced to view the material. On average, survey respondents reported they were a little older than 13 when they were first exposed to pornography .
All students at Minnehaha Academy were accounted for, some fleeing the building at the school for grades kindergarten to 12 just moments before the explosion. Two people were killed, a school janitor and a receptionist.
The blast, fire and collapse Wednesday morning occurred in the upper school. Master Mechanical said in a statement that its employees were among the injured, but it has not elaborated on the work they were doing. The company did not say how many of its employees were hurt at Minnehaha Academy on Wednesday.
School leadership also met Thursday to discuss what's next. City fire officials said the situation would have been far worse if pupils were in class. Officials have not identified the second body.
The Christian academy has a combined enrollment of about 825 students. Fruetel said the medical examiner's office was working to notify relatives.
It was not damaged in Wednesday's blast. "That investigation will include local, state and federal agencies".
