The stand-off began in mid-June when India opposed the construction of road by China at the border, which it claimed fell in its territory.
Referring to its diplomatic protests made in this regard, the statement said the "Indian side, rather than withdraw its trespassing troops and equipment, made unreasonable demands to China which demonstrated its lack of sincerity for resolving the incident".
The External Affairs Minister also sent out a clear message to Pakistan that terror and talks could not go together, while reiterating India's desire for friendly relations with the neighbour. "Bilateral meetings were also held and I was present", Swaraj said.
