Trump issued his decision just as he landed aboard Air Force One after a visit to Long Island. "He's a great American".
In a pull-no-punches, impromptu CNN interview that he said was authorized by the president, Anthony Scaramucci went after chief of staff Reince Priebus in graphic terms. He and two other senior Trump aides, Stephen Miller and Dan Scavino, got into a van in Trump's motorcade at Joint Base Andrews in suburban Maryalnd shortly before Trump's tweet, then Miller and Scavino got out and entered a different vehicle. The new communications chief, Anthony Scaramucci, who in his debut came across as affable and in control of himself, went on CNN Thursday to show he'll fit right in.
Priebus says he supports the president and that he's "doing great" personally. "So I'm asking you as an American patriot to give me a sense of who leaked it".
Priebus calls Kelly a "brilliant pick" and says he himself remains a Trump fan.
He added of the retired Marine general: "John Kelly will do a fantastic job".
Kelly's elevation is a reminder that the core of Trump's political identity remains his tough stance on immigration: as secretary of DHS, Kelly became a reliably blunt spokesperson for the Trump administration's expansion of immigration enforcement. "He will begin on Monday morning and a cabinet meeting will follow his swearing in Monday morning", Sanders said in the statement.
Priebus "has left it all out on the field, for our party and our country", Ryan said.
Wisconsin Republicans are not happy with the departure of Reince Priebus as President Donald Trump's chief of staff.
Facebook's revenue growth falters even as WhatsApp and Instagram surge
Facebook has seen a steady decline in its revenue growth over the past year as it runs out of space for ads on its News Feed. Facebook Q2 2017 earnings revealed ad revenue of $9.16 billion , up 47% from $6.2 billion in last year's second quarter.
The President offered Scaramucci the vacant position in the communications shop last Friday.
Priebus has suffered from a lack of public defenders, at least at the White House. Trump also tweeted his thanks to Priebus. Scaramucci asked the journalist, the New Yorker reported.
The interview appears on the website of The New Yorker magazine.
"I'm not going to respond to it", he said. "The Scaramucci job is a job that I would have loved", Rivera added. "The president and I would like to tell everybody we have a very, very good idea of who the leakers are".
Priebus allies claim Scaramucci's profane outburst will make it hard for him to gain the support of key Republican figures in Washington and statehouses.
Priebus had worked against Scaramucci joining the administration when the NY hedge fund manager was first considered for an administration post and while the two attempted to put on a show of unity in Scaramucci's first days at the White House, it quickly became clear the two men would continue to be at odds with each other.
Priebus balked, insisting that Scaramucci report to him. "I fired one guy the other day". In a highly unusual arrangement, Trump said at the outset that Priebus and chief strategist Steve Bannon would serve as "equal partners" in implementing his agenda.
The appointment of Scaramucci, a prominent television surrogate for Trump during the campaign, prompted the immediate resignation of White House press secretary Sean Spicer on July 21. According to the mutual friend, Scaramucci told everyone he spoke to that day, including the president, that he was sure the person who divulged details of the meeting was Priebus.
