"I'll see you soon, motherf****r". Maybe this is how he gets geared up for the biggest fight of his UFC career.

The synopsis for the episode reads, "On episode 1 of UFC 213 Embedded, the athletes sharpen their physical skills as fight week begins". Bisping is now nursing a knee injury, but he also chose to fight Dan Henderson and to pursue a bout with Georges St. Pierre while Romero, Rockhold and Whittaker waited for the next title shot in a division stacked with elite talent. "Bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes works with coach Din Thomas inside the UFC Performance Institute". He earned the chance to fight for the full 185-pound title held for the past year by Michael Bisping, who is injured. "I want to fight Yoel Romero", Whittaker said. He then slammed his own belt to the canvas, encouraged Whittaker to try to take it and then stormed out of the cage.

Looking at Whittaker's belt, Bisping sneered and said, "That makes me sick".

The search for a fight for former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre is one of the longest running sagas in the sport's history.

Robert Whittaker brought UFC gold to Australia for the first time after a unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 48-47) victory over Yoel Romero on Saturday (8 July).

No. 1 pick Markelle Fultz leaves Summer League with ankle injury
There's reason to be very concerned for 76ers fans, who have suffered from a slew of injuries to their top picks recently. It's early, but Fultz has certainly looked like the No. 1 pick to this point.

But Whittaker was undefeated at middleweight, too, with six wins on the trot.

"I was bothered pretty good", Whittaker said.

Whittaker expects Romero to use his wrestling pedigree to try and dominate on the mat and keep things interesting on the feet.

Romero started off strong in the first two rounds as his Australian opponent seemed to have suffered an injury to his knee. Romero continued to look for the take down pushing Whittaker into the cage and taking his back.

Not only has the 40 year-old middleweight won eight straight fights, Romero has finished contenders and stars like Lyoto Machida and Chris Weidman during that time. For a guy who after winning TUF: Smashes in 2012 went on a two-fight losing streak that made him reevaluate everything about his game, it was a stunning and inspirational reversal. Before the pay-per-view fights, heavyweight Travis Browne closes the cable television portion of the telecast against Oleksiy Oliynik.
