According to this blog, Galaxy Note 8 will be Samsung's most expensive smartphone yet carrying a retail price of $999 which is almost $1000.
In addition to being Samsung's first flagship with 6GB of RAM, the Galaxy Note 8 is also going to be the first Galaxy flagship with a dual-camera setup at the back.
At almost the same size as the 6.2-inch of Samsung's powerhouse Galaxy S8 Plus, for the first time in its seven-year history, Samsung is counting on more than an expansive screen to differentiate the Note line from the S-series. It's also likely to have an "Infinity Display" but it means there may be no physical home button on the Note 8. Rest of the innards are expected to be the same as the Galaxy S8 range. Dual-camera technology is nearly becoming a must in the smartphone industry now, with Apple expected to include a vertically-aligned dual-camera system with the iPhone 8 in order to deliver augmented reality functionality. The report further says Samsung will introduce a 12-megapixel dual camera for the first time. Which is probably why it made a decision to go with a small-ish 3300mAh capacity battery for the Galaxy Note 8. The fingerprint sensor too will be positioned on the same plane as the camera sensors, although the gap will be a little wider than on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.
