Germany are second to Chile in the table by a single goal with both teams on four points while Cameroon and Australia have a point each.

The two-time reigning Copa America champion Chileans outlasted Cameroon 2-0 in a hard-fought, VAR-influenced opener.

Germany started their Confederations Cup campaign with a win over Australia in their opening game.

Earlier this month, Joachim Low was forced to defend himself against accusations of "making the heart of football fans bleed" by choosing to tackle Germany's Confederations Cup campaign with an inexperienced squad in Russian Federation, rather than the stars who helped lift the World Cup in Brazil three years ago.

Joachim Loew can maintain his proud decade-long record of steering Germany to the semi-finals with a draw against Cameroon in the Confederations Cup.

"I'm disappointed with the goal, these little lapses cost us, it was a sucker punch and we didn't give up". Even though the team has struggled massively on defence on both matches, it would be unfair to say they have looked overmatched.

"Our game against Chile is another massive one for us", said Australia captain Mark Milligan.

Vegas Golden Knights fill out roster with National Hockey League expansion draft
The NHL's announced objective was to help the Golden Knights become competitive more quickly than expansion teams of the past. In true Las Vegas fashion, teams gambled, and it appears the house, in this case the Golden Knights, won.

Germany v Chile is available in most countries via the rights holders' online platform, if they have one. "Given this young and inexperienced team, we played at a very high level". Germany might also make changes in the midfield and start Emre Can and move Joshua Kimmich further forward.

Super Stat: Germany have faced Chile thrice (1962, 1974 and 2014) in the World Cup, coming out on top on all three occasions! In his absence, Johnny Herrera was in goal for Chile's 2-0 win over Cameroon and Thursday's 1-1draw with Germany in Russian Federation. "It is always hard to break down a side that defends and hits on the counter, so Germany are going to be very, very tough opponents", FIFA.com quoted Herrera as saying. The days of living in the shadow of Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay are over and they will be back in Russian Federation next year as arguably their continent's best hope of providing a world champion.

"Chile have fantastic individual players and are flexible tactically like few other teams, they can switch things around several times during a match".

"He is a great Australian, transcending sport, to play at three World Cups".

Speaking after the 1-1 draw, Chile coach Juan Antonio Pizzi praised Sanchez efforts and those of the whole team in the face of daunting opposition.

"We will not just be hoping, we will prepare to try to win". Thursday's other Group B contest also ended in a 1-1 draw, as Australia battled back after falling behind to Cameroon.
