Los Angeles Lakers GM compares Lonzo Ball to...Tom Brady?

So is it any surprise that when the roles were flipped this spring, and it was Johnson studying footage of Ball, that what the old Lakers great saw looked familiar? "We're going to sit and just talk". And [Lakers coach] Luke [Walton] and the coaching staff will do the same thing and it's OK, because he receives all that well. We know that the goal here is to compete for championships. He's a leader. He treats people the right way.

Johnson even referenced the 1980s Showtime Lakers - a team he led - when talking about the ball movement that he hopes Ball will bring to the Lakers. Lakers president of basketball operations Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Jr. said a few weeks ago that the only untouchable player on the roster is Brandon Ingram.

Technically, Lonzo Ball's professional National Basketball Association career hasn't started yet. Stats will show Fox has the better point getter, especially being on a team with at-will scorers at their disposal, but Ball has proven he has a much better shot than Fox. "We knew that he could handle the pressure of being a Laker, Los Angeles and Hollywood at the same time". "I'm not really anxious about all that". He doesn't need to change. "(I could) learn a lot from him". I talked to, I think, four teachers, they all said at different times, this guy, everybody attracts to this guy. "Just work every day, go out there and play my game". The Big East player of the year scored 18.7 points per game last season and excelled as a wing defender. "Come see me when he does, I'll have another hat on that says 'I told ya so'".

Democratic Chatter Grows About Ousting Nancy Pelosi
He has argued that Democrats should avoid engaging in identity politics and instead focus on issues affecting the middle class. But Pelosi continues to command great loyalty from many in the House, and she insisted her position was not in jeopardy.

"There's clearly a gift, with what he's been blessed with". As a general manager, Pelinka is surely infatuated with the player he just selected - and he wants to promote positive dialogue around the player, which is positive for Pelinka because his job depends upon Ball excelling. And that's what type of passer he is. Ball was in uniform - a Dodgers one - on Friday night, tossing out the first pitch ahead of the Dodgers game against the Colorado Rockies. Ball will wear No. 2 on his jersey.

LaVar also added that his son would have an immediate and winning impact on the Lakers organization, saying "Lonzo Ball is going to take the Lakers to the playoffs in his first year".

If it makes the decision for National Basketball Association executives any easier, Fox and Ball went head to head in the NCAA Tournament last season, with Fox dominating the game in all facets, propelling the Wildcats into the Elite Eight. "I'm glad that they picked me because I didn't have any other shoes under the table". He transformed UCLA with his infectious passing and unselfish play, elevating a squad coming off one of the worst years in UCLA history to a Sweet 16 team that had one of the most prolific offenses in the country.
