DENVER | The Nuggets selected Louisville guard Donovan Mitchell with the No. 13 pick in the National Basketball Association draft Thursday night but he won't be suiting up for Denver.
Donovan Mitchell reacts after being selected by the Denver Nuggets as the 13th pick overall during the NBA basketball draft, Thursday, June 22, 2017, in NY.
"Lyles is 6'10" and averaged a little over 6 points and 3 rebounds per game with the Jazz last season.
Jazz fans are hoping that the trade for Mitchell works out as well as their last draft-night deal with Denver; in 2013 the team bought the No. 27 pick from the Nuggets to select Rudy Gobert. The Jazz have a ton of guards: George Hill, Dante Exum, Shelvin Mack, Rodney Hood, Joe Ingles and Alec Burks, so Mitchell may have a tough time seeing enough minutes to make a fantasy impact this season.

No matter how sick you are, insurance companies need to accept you. "We're always anxious about the clientele", Camacho said. Police officers physically removed protesters from the area one by one and carried them outside.
"His elite athleticism, length and game give him a passing resemblance to a young Dwyane Wade", ESPN analyst Chad Ford said of Mitchell ahead of the draft. I'm glad to be a part of this organization. I think I can do both.
"That's the big thing, knocking down open shots", Mitchell said. He was named All-Big 12 First Team as a senior in 2017 with averages of 16.4 points, 4.8 points, 6.2 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
Mitchell also has a message for Gordon Hayward, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent. He responded well, averaging six points and four rebounds per game, while shooting over 38 percent from distance.
With the trade yet to be made official by the NBA, Denver made the Mitchell selection on behalf of the Jazz.
