This past season has to be considered a rousing success for the Celtics.

For a team that was the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, and for a team that came upshort against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the future is certainly looking bright for Boston. He started 26 games and averaged 12.9 points and 5.3 rebounds.

There was no late-night workout in New York City between the Boston Celtics and Josh Jackson. His seven rebounds and two assists per game paint the picture of a player capable of contributing in a number of different ways.

The Boston Celtics are a team that has been mentioned in plenty of National Basketball Association rumors lately. Marcus Smart and Kelly Olynyk were consistent contributors. "Jaylen Brown gives you defense, Jayson Tatum gives you instant offense".

"The feeling is everything I wished for and more", Tatum said.

The price of heading to a contender for Tatum will be sifting through the noise that surrounds any team with a stockpile of assets in the National Basketball Association offseason.

The Celtics landed the No. 3 slot after they traded away the No. 1 pick in the draft to the Philadelphia Sixers. 2, 3, and 4 than they do at pick No. 2. The Celtics balked at sending Chicago the third pick on Thursday or their likely Top 5 pick from Brooklyn next year, so Jimmy Butler is now a member of the Timberwolves. There are some rumblings that the Celtics could closing in on a star player.

Florida State forward Jonathan Issac became the second ACC player off the board as he went No. 6 overall to the Orlando Magic. 1 and 3 picks in Thursday night's NBA Draft. However, New Orleans traded that pick to IN for cash and the Pacers got Xavier guard Edmond Sumner. It just depends on how much they are willing to sacrifice for George. All kinds of players are coming out of this draft, but a do-it-all point guard like Fultz is hard to come by. Reports have surfaced that the Celtics really like Jackson but Tatum would presumably be the better fit there. However, they do have some issue along the frontcourt.

The Suns are enduring the longest playoff drought in the franchise's history.

He fills a Phoenix need with his defense.

While the Celtics could certainly use an upgrade over Johnson in the starting five, any potential replacement should come at a reasonable price. Before the end of the weekend the Celtics could also land arguably the most talked about name on the trade market.
