Borussia Dortmund move for Barcelona wonderkid Lee

Barcelona have reportedly chose to postpone the potential signing of Ousmane Dembele until next summer following Borussia Dortmund's refusal to negotiate his departure.

Fellow Bundesliga side Schalke have also been credited with an interest in signing the Barcelona youngster.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has said the youngster, who turned 20 in May, will not be for sale. There are no negotiations [with Barca].

New boss Ernesto Valverde is apparently already working on how Dembele would fit into a system at the Nou Camp, and is keen to bring him in to help them reclaim the title from Real Madrid.

Barcelona still think that Dembele is a priority for the future but believe that Dortmund will be more open to cashing in on the winger once they have enjoyed his services for one or two more campaigns.

This could now see him open to a move to the Premier League this summer with either Chelsea or United.

Dembele made 49 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund last season, scoring ten goals and providing an impressive 21 assists for his team-mates.

Meanwhile, according to Globo Esporte (h/t Sport), Santos playmaker Lucas Lima has confirmed he will join Barcelona on a free transfer in January, though he must wait until July 1 to sign a pre-contract with the Catalan giants.

'Dortmund have enquired about Lee with Barcelona, ' he told Bild.
