The U.S. shot down an Iranian made armed drone over Syria Tuesday, just two days after it shot down a Syrian regime fighter aircraft.

The shooting down of a Syrian warplane near the central Syrian city of Raqqa, where US-supported Syrian Democratic Forces are deployed to help capture the city from Daesh gangs, threatens to escalate tensions over Syria between Moscow and Washington.

In a statement on Tuesday, US forces said the drone was sacked on after it "displayed hostile intent and advanced on coalition forces", and a Western intelligence source said the so-called UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) was Iranian.

It said it does not tolerate what it described as "the demonstrated hostile intent and actions of pro-regime forces" against the coalition forces and its partners in Syria.

CENTCOM announced that a US F-15 Strike Eagle shot down the Shaheed-129 UAV in the early morning near At Tanf, where Coalition forces are training Syrian militias to battle the Islamic State.

However, the Pentagon states that the Syrian jet had dropped bombs near US partner forces involved in the fight to extract Raqqa from Islamic State (ISIS) control.

"Talks were already launched between the United States and Russian Federation concerning the need that Iranian-backed militias and regime forces move from the area where they lately advanced in northern al-Tanf to allow us to resume the military operation against ISIS", al-Tala also said.

Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov called the shootdown an "act of aggression", but the us balked at the Russian threats and said it would continue to protect its interests in Syria.

These include Barcelona star Lionel Messi and his father Jorge, who were both handed 21-month jail terms for a €4.1 million. Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez has dismissed rumors suggesting that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave the club.

The U.S. also shot down an Iranian made drone over Syria on June 8.

Russian Federation announced on Monday it was suspending the hotline, but the us said it was still functioning as of Monday morning. The ministry also said that Russian Federation was discontinuing cooperation with the United States military as part of the memorandum on preventing mid-air incidents and ensuring flights safety during operations in Syria.

Both the United States and Russian Federation contend their forces are in Syria to fight ISIS.

The tensions between the U.S. and Russian militaries who support opposing sides in the six-year Syrian civil war follows a number of recent incidents where the USA military downed manned and unmanned Syrian and pro-Syrian warplanes. "That would be another mistake on the scope of the Iraq War", he said.

The Australian Defense Force's name for its effort to fight ISIS is Operation OKRA.

That warning came after the USA shot down a Syrian military plane.

Russia's deputy foreign minister, Sergei Ryabkov, said the U.S. strike "has to be seen as a continuation of America's line to disregard the norms of worldwide law".
