Trump's attorney performs hilarious flip-flop: confirms and denies investigation in one breath

The Post's story came soon after it reported that the FBI's Russian Federation investigation, spearheaded by special counsel Robert Mueller, had expanded to include a senior White House official as a "person of interest".

White House spokesman Sean Spicer said Monday that President Donald Trump "has confidence in everyone who serves him", as reporters questioned him about Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, the target of a recent Trump tweet.

Why he's representing Trump: "If the president of the United States asks you for legal advice and you're a lawyer and you're serving your country and the Constitution, you do it", Sekulow said on his radio show earlier this month.

"You just said he's being investigated", Wallace noted.

(Sekulow) "Let me be crystal clear so you understand".

The lawyer, Jay Sekulow, contended the tweet was not a confirmation of the investigation, but instead a response to a report in The Washington Post.

But on Sunday, Sekulow appeared on four morning shows, initially denying that Trump was under investigation, and explaining that Trump was merely tweeting he was under investigation in response to the story in the Post.

"Right now, I think the focus has to be on what we know has happened", Sekulow said.

The US president has denied trying to influence the investigation, but has acknowledged in an interview that Russian Federation was on his mind when he dismissed Comey.

"You don't know that he isn't under investigation now, do you?"

Finisar's comments could indicate that Apple is about to introduce something innovative and ground breaking with the iPhone 8. Mitchell Mcleod Pugh & Williams Inc.'s holdings in Apple were worth $7,016,000 as of its most recent filing with the SEC.

Maybe Trump (with his tweet) and Sekulow (with his on-air comments) were trying to describe a hypothetical scenario, responding to circumstances that could, but don't, exist.

So far, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has confirmed only that they are investigating alleged Russian meddling in last year's presidential election and whether or not Trump's presidential campaign had improper contacts with Russian operatives during the election.

"No one has notified us that he is under investigation", Sekulow said.

Meanwhile, other sources have said that the President is indeed under investigation for the highly unconventional firing of the FBI Chief.

Sukelow subsequently did tell Wallace that Trump was being investigated by the Special Counsel when he was asked, in reference to Trump's tweet, if the President thought Rosenstein had done anything wrong.

Himes says the notion the investigation has been going on too long "is just crazy" and "we're talking about the very core of our democracy here".

"The president is not and has not been under investigation for obstruction".

The New York Times first reported that Kushner was weighing other legal options.

A White House official said the senior aide and son-in-law to President Donald Trump will arrive on Wednesday for meetings in Jerusalem and Ramallah. As rumors of the obstruction investigation surfaced, the president's supporters began to spin Mueller as a partisan attempting to undermine the presidency. "I find his lack of trustworthiness really problematic", Speier said.
