Trump lawyer: We haven't been notified of any investigation

The Post reported last week that Robert Mueller - the special counsel appointed to investigate Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election - was looking into whether Trump obstructed justice.

In one tweet, he said: "I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director!"

"The president's tweet was in response to the Washington Post story", Sekulow said.

Sen. Marco Rubio says it's best for the country to let the FBI's investigation into Russian Federation meddling in the 2016 presidential election take its course, and the Florida Republican tells CNN's "State of the Union" that's what he'd advise President Donald Trump.

Appearing on a series of morning news programs, attorney Jay Sekulow said that a Friday tweet from Trump was specifically directed at a story in The Washington Post about the expanding probe into Russia's election meddling.

A member of President Trump's legal team repeatedly insisted that Trump is not under investigation for obstruction of justice but acknowledged he could not know for certain during combative Sunday television interviews.

"We're in agreement then", Wallace said.

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise remains in critical, but doctors are optimistic
The FBI said it was investigating the shooter's "activities and social media impressions" in the months leading up to the attack. Scalise is a member of the team and had been fielding balls at second base in preparation for the game when he was shot.

But Sekulow became defensive when he pressed on the issue after he told Fox that Trump was "being investigated for taking the action that the attorney general and deputy attorney general recommending him to take". Watching Tapper's State of the Union and Todd's Meet the Press, it was hard to decide which of the three men had the toughest job. "That's impossible. The president cannot be investigated, or certainly cannot be found liable for engaging in an activity he clearly has power to do under the constitution". "If we want to put all this behind us, let's find out what happened, let's put it out there, and let's not undermine the credibility of the investigation".

The Secret Service has said it has no records of any recording systems or transcripts of any conversations Mr. Trump may have had in the White House. First of all, you've now stated that he is being investigated after saying he isn't.

In an interview with MSNBC host Lester Holt last month, Trump said he had already decided he would fire Comey before hearing any recommendations from Justice Department officials. "That's the constitutional threshold issue", Sekulow said.

Sen. Angus King (I-Maine), who like Rubio sits on the Senate Intelligence Committee, told NBC News' "Meet the Press" that the panel's work is far from concluded.

Sekulow responded that Trump couldn't be indicted "because there's not an investigation".

Sekulow also insisted that Trump's tweets have posed no problems for his legal team. Trump is just "responding to what he's seeing the media in a way that he thinks is appropriate to talk to those people that put him in office", Sekulow said, denying that Twitter consumes any significant portion of Trump's time. "So I'm confused there", Todd said.
