Super Mario Odyssey Co-Op Mode Demoed In New Footage

Single player mode shows Mario's hat as a crucial device since it can be employed to catch enemies and other flying objects, as spotted by Polygon. Each player will be able to used each half of the JoyCons to take full control of Mario or Cappy.

As per usual, Mario can jump and run just like in preceding titles. Anyhow, player two will be able to fly Cappy around and launch attacks, in addition to controlling the camera. Additionally, Cappy is invincible, which means you can play as the magical hat without any concern about getting hurt.

This includes collecting coins and other collectibles that are totally out of reach for Mario. Also, Cappy is unreceptive to damages, making it apt for less experienced players, notes The Verge. It's this functionality that could make Super Mario Odyssey a game to remember and what has been baked into Super Mario 64 via the aforementioned mod.
