An announcement on ManUtd.com last weekend confirmed that United had reached an agreement with Benfica to sign the 22-year-old subject to a medical and personal terms.
Lindelof arrived in Manchester fresh from global duty with Sweden, where he was an unused substitute in last night's 1-1 draw with Norway.
Lindelof is the first of what manager Jose Mourinho hopes will be a number of new arrivals this summer as he looks to build a squad capable of competing both at home and in the Champions League.

"I was in Benfica for five years so for me to leave of course it was not a tough decision but a hard decision because I was happy there and I developed a lot as a player", Lindelof told MUTV. "I'm keen to get started and make my contribution to the team's efforts to win more trophies", he added. "I know that our fantastic group of players will welcome him as one of us", he said.
