Manchester United sign Victor Lindelof from Benfica

Victor Lindelof is expected to arrive at Manchester United for a medical within 48 hours to complete his switch from Benfica.

The 22-year-old Sweden worldwide will become a United player on 1 July and has signed a four-year contract, with an option for a further year.

Lindelof is involved in Sweden's friendly worldwide against Norway on Tuesday night and if expected to fly straight to Manchester after the game, where he will undergo a medical before the official confirmation of his arrival comes from the Old Trafford club.

Lindelof has signed a long-term deal with the Europa League winners to become Jose Mourinho's first recruit this summer ahead of the 2017-18 Premier League campaign.

Lindelof spent the majority of his youth career with hometown club Vasteras before joining Benfica in 2012.
