London's tower fire now a criminal probe

The mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, was confronted by a mob of angry residents demanding answers over the fire when visited the site of the gutted tower on Thursday.

Londoners have reacted with compassion and donated food, clothes, and blankets for those left without homes after the blaze. In this case, that advice may have put people in danger.

"We need to know what happened, we need to have an explanation of this".

Meanwhile, 44 households were given emergency accommodation.

The partial collapse of Ronan Point Tower in east London in 1968 led to an overhaul of building regulations.
