Despite a rumor on social media, the Golden State Warriors announced Tuesday they have yet to make a decision about whether or not the newly crowned National Basketball Association champions will visit the White House.

A while later, James acknowledged seeing something else, a player in Durant and a team in the Golden State Warriors, who not only buzz-sawed through his Cleveland Cavaliers in five games, clinching their title with a 129-120 victory, but who may not be abdicating any time soon.

In last year's NBA Finals, the Warriors took a 3-1 lead heading into Game 5, the same as it had this year, but Curry's team didn't manage to wrap up the series.

The win provided redemption for the Warriors, who brought Kevin Durant over from the Oklahoma City Thunder last off-season to bolster their already high-powered offence. We just won a championship, man. Let's see if we can do it again.

"I had a letdown previous year", Green said.

Durant might be asked to do the same - take less than he might command elsewhere to allow Golden State to keep Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston without salary cap issues.

Durant came back late in the regular season from a 19-game absence with a left knee injury, then dealt with a tender calf early in the playoffs.

"I agree with that description, if you remove the 'et, '" Curry said, in response to Plank calling President Trump an "asset". Durant buried another three on the next possession, the Warriors whipping passes around the floor before it came his way for the shot that barely flew past Kevin Love's outstretched hand.

Since Golden State's championship win, reports have been pouring in from various sources that the decision to skip was indeed a team effort although an official statement from the team hasn't been offered. After trading blows like two heavyweight fighters, Cavs, you could say, lost by a points decision.

The parade, celebrating the Warriors' 4-1 NBA Finals victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, will start at 10 a.m. Thursday at Broadway and 11th Street, team officials said.

"I'm just happy for him". "We kept the lead at six, eight points - or the deficit".

As the final seconds began to tick off the clock in game five of the NBA Finals on Monday night, LeBron James stood under the basket and looked up, oblivious to the action going on behind him.

Kerr still found time to crack a joke on the stage afterward: "Well, we had very little talent, actually, it was mostly coaching". "So, this is the culmination of a year where they grew together and learned each other's games and got better and better all year, and it was just phenomenal to be part of". And as had been the case in the first three games, it was Durant (21 first half points) and Curry (20 first half points, five assists, four rebounds) leading the way.
