Trump responds to Comey testimony: He's a leaker

After his dismissal, Comey leaked shocking details of a series of meetings with Trump, in which the president allegedly asked for Comey's "loyalty" and suggested that he shelve an FBI investigation into Trump's national security adviser.

Celebrated criminal defense lawyer Alan Dershowitz has argued in a lengthy Twitter commentary that Trump was at worst guilty of "political sins"; he said there is "no plausible case" for obstruction charges. But a day after the closely watched hearing, Trump struck back with an early morning tweet: "Wow, Comey is a leaker". "Totally illegal? Very 'cowardly!'"

Trump himself was expected to dispute Comey's claims that he demanded loyalty and asked the FBI director to drop the investigation into Flynn, according to a person close to the president's legal team who was not authorized to discuss legal strategy by name and demanded anonymity.

Mr. Kasowitz also jumped on Comey's revelation that he had released details of his private conversations with the president, casting the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director as one of the "leakers" set on undermining the Trump administration.

And he did say that he believed the president wanted him to drop an investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who resigned after misleading Vice President Mike Pence about his conversations with Russian officials.

Mr. Comey testified that he made a decision to memorialize all of his meetings and conversations with President Trump because he was "uncomfortable" with those one-on-one conversations from the start.

"He gave his notes to a Columbia law professor because he wasn't man enough to give the notes directly to the media", Lewandowski told NBC's morning show "Today".

A year ago, Durant was the NBA's most coveted free agent. "I left everything on the floor every game , all five games", he said. KD added that she knows everything he went trough and that in fact, they together were in it all the time .

Though Trump has lambasted Comey as a "leaker", he also claimed "total and complete vindication" following the ex-FBI chief's testimony, focusing on Comey's confirmation that Trump was not personally being probed.

Trump stopped short of saying that Comey lied under oath.

On Friday, Trump indicated that he was willing to do that, a highly unusual step for a sitting president and one fraught with legal hazard.

Comey told a Senate committee Thursday that he believes Trump fired him over the Russian Federation probe, and he accused the White House of lying about the details of the dismissal.

Collins, a member of the Senate intelligence committee, which is investigating Russia's interference in the 2016 election, said Comey's motivation "may have been a good one".

He said that while he found the February exchange in the Oval Office disturbing, "that's a conclusion I'm sure the special counsel will work towards, to try and understand what the intention was there, and whether that's an offense".

"I'd like to invite the president to testify before the Senate", Schumer told host John Dickerson on CBS News's "Face the Nation". You won't be unless Bob Mueller says so. "Stop talking. You're heading into a giant perjury trap".
