As its name clearly suggests, the R8 Spyder V10 plus offers a lot more performance compared to the regular R8 Spyder V10, most notably in the engine department.
It seemed an odd omission from the range: when Audi launched the new R8 Spyder a year ago, it did so in "basic" 540hp guise. A naturally aspirated mill gifted with dry-sump lubrication and dual injection, the high-revving ten-cylinder engine develops 610 PS (449 kW) and 560 Nm (413 pound-feet). Plus, like its lowlier sibling, you get a power folding soft top that goes up or down at up to 31 mph.But wait, there's more!
The R8 V10 Spyder Plus weighs 3737 lbs, just 165 lbs heavier than the V10 Plus Coupe. Thanks to its electrohydraulic drive, the roof takes 20 seconds to open or close, operating even while driving at speeds up to 50 km/h. Audi says the rear window sinks into the bulkhead, but can be retracted and extended electrically. The result is a 25kg reduction over the standard R8 V10 Spyder. The interior is in all black Nappa leather with green stitching accents on the seats, center armrests, doors, and floor mats.
Confirmed: Southampton Sack Claude Puel
The French manager had been under fire from some quarters due to the Saints' style of play during his reign at St. The club went on to thank Puel for his service and announced the search for a new manager was underway.
In addition, optional Audi laser light LED headlights are available and will make you look really freakin' cool at night.
Audi has not announced the availability of the R8 Spyder V10 plus in the USA, but orders are now being accepted for the Audi R8 Spyder V10 plus, in Germany with the first deliveries starting in late summer 2017.
Audi will announce pricing details for the USA when the launch date is finalized here.
