President Donald Trump said Friday he is "100 percent" willing to speak under oath giving his version of interaction with former FBI Director James Comey.
"Despite so many false statements and lies, total and complete vindication", he wrote at 6.10 am.
On Thursday, former FBI Director James Comey testified for three hours publicly before the Senate Intelligence Committee.
But Mr Trump insisted during a press conference with Romania's President Klaus Werner Iohannis that Mr Comey lied in some parts of the testimony he gave to the Senate intelligence committee, and asserted that nothing in his testimony showed collusion with Russian Federation or obstruction of justice.
He testified that Trump told him on January 26 that he expected loyalty from the Federal Bureau of Investigation director and the next month urged him to drop the probe into Flynn, the president's former national security adviser. Karl specifically cited Comey's claim that Trump told him in the Oval Office that he "hoped" Comey could let the Flynn investigation go.
Trump said there was "no collusion, no obstruction" and that "Comey's a leaker". "We should stop talking about obstruction of justice", Mr Dershowitz said, linking to an interview he gave to Fox News.
Comey pushed back against those claims, asserting that Trump had lied.
"I don't think it's for me to say whether the conversation I had with the president was an effort to obstruct", Comey testified.
The committee also sent a letter to Comey requesting he provide the committee any notes or memos in his possession regarding his discussions with Trump.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain: Young England squad has chance to build something special
ALEX OXLADE-Chamberlain has admitted his versatility is a double-edged sword, but feels he has had a new start with England . But Oxlade-Chamberlain left his global boss in no doubt about preferring to play in an advanced role.
"In this morning's tweet, My Trump said: ".and WOW, Comey is a leaker!"
"I asked - the president tweeted on Friday after I got fired that I better hope there's not tapes". "I'm going to tell you, I didn't say that".
Trump replied: "Oh, you're going to be very disappointed when you hear the answer, don't worry".
If he doesn't provide the recorded tapes-tapes that no one is sure he even has-he could face a subpoena demanding that he hand them over-tapes that, again, no one can confirm even exist. Who would do that?,' Trump said.
Trump also twice declined to confirm the existence of White House recordings of the conversations.
The president and his lawyer have both said that the testimony served primarily as vindication that he - President Trump - wasn't being investigated for collusion with Russian Federation during the election.
The President fired Mr Comey last month.
Comey also said he asked a friend to share with the media the contents of memos he had written about his conversations with Trump, saying he thought the move would lead to the naming of a special counsel to investigate Russia's interference in the US presidential election.
