Jimmy Carter, who is 92 years old, was seen shaking the hands of every passenger on the flight on its way to Atlanta.
Former President Jimmy Carter was a popular man on board a flight bound for Washington DC on Thursday as the former president shook hands with everyone on board the flight leaving from Atlanta. Even comic Hannibal Burress has encountered the famed Carter plane handshake and recounted it on Conan back in 2014, while making an excellent point about hand sanitizer. Sheffield can be heard in the video saying, "What a pleasure, thank you".
"He didn't say much, because he was also trying to be mindful of the flight needing to leave, but that smile said everything for him".

Jeremy Corbyn said he will oppose the government all the way, telling the Sunday Mirror he can "still be prime minister". This has not only surfaced a situation of uncertainty regarding the fate of Prime Minister May, but also the party.
Mr Sheffield, speaking to Atlanta's WSB-TV, said: "It's hard to put into words what a nice reprieve from the current political theater this moment was".
Atlanta native James Parker Sheffield's video of the down-to-earth moment, which was tweeted last Friday (June 9), has since gone viral.
