Captain Steve Smith was frustrated by conditions at The Oval after Australia's Champions Trophy game against Bangladesh was abandoned.
The umpires did seek to restart play, although Australia's run total of 83 for one wicket from 16 overs wasn't enough to warrant a result when the match was eventually called off. "I was happy to keep batting through the rain", he said.
"I think the general feeling is that the wickets here will slow up in the back end of the tournament", Zampa said prior to the tournament.
"Their batsmanship is ridiculously unbelievable, they know the game inside out and it's a master class when they get going".
Heavy rain forced the players off the field, however, and after delaying a decision over whether to wait for the downpours to pass it was decided that the points would have to be shared. Australia has gained one point after a rain-affected game while Bangladesh hasn't opened its account yet.
Guptill (26) combined with Luke Ronchi (65 off 43) to kickstart the New Zealand innings against Australia last week, with skipper Kane Williamson's 97-ball 100 anchoring the Black Caps to 291 off 45 overs. We've got ourselves from nine to number eight (in the ODI rankings) and our brand of cricket has changed.
But instead the rain returned before the game could restart and Australia's hopes of victory were washed away. I think every team is feeling that. Replays later showed there was a slim edge on to the pad.

Defensively, the Pittsburgh Penguins are allowing 2.8 goals per game and are killing 79.8 percent of their power play chances. A minute later, teammate Conor Sheary gave them a 2-0 lead on assists from Kunitz and Crosby. "We're not looking at anybody".
- They can also qualify if the Australia-England clash gets abandoned due to rain, given they defeat New Zealand by a big margin to convert their negative run-rate into positive.
The greater pressure is naturally on Australia, considering they came into this tournament as one of the favourites.
Bangladesh's Tamim Iqbal, left, bats during the ICC Champions Trophy Group A match against Australia at The Oval in London, Monday June 5.
Bangladesh looked very impressive with the bat in their opening match against England but their inability to defend a challenging score of 305 raised a lot of questions as to whether or not their bowling attack is up to the mark.
Tamim Iqbal's 95 was the highlight for Bangladesh, who are winless and face New Zealand in their final group tie.
Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza was grateful for the lucky escape.
"Of course I didn't want to go off", Smith said. We have to beat New Zealand and obviously we have to wait for a few results as well. The two-time winners now have had to share the points with opponents for the second straight game after the washout against New Zealand in their opener.
