Survivor says grocery store killer saw her but spared her

Despite Stair's posts on Twitter and on YouTube, Mitchell said authorities had so far learned of no one who had raised a red flag, had responded to any posts trying to talk Stair out of anything or had warned anyone about his plot.

A prosecutor called Stair's actions a mental health situation that "utterly spiraled out of control".

After his "pre-planned" rampage, officials say Stair killed himself inside the Wyoming County store, which was closed to customers at the time.

A workplace shooting at a Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, supermarket early Thursday morning left four people dead, including the gunman, and a typically quiet community in shock.

Laura Faverty tells WILK radio (http://bit.ly/2rehev7 ) that 24-year-old Randy Stair sent her an email less than an hour before the killings.

Troopers arrived to find victims Victoria Todd Brong, 25, of Avery Station Road, Factoryville; Brian Hayes, 47, of Springville; and Terry Lee Sterling, 63, of Shady Lane Park, South Montrose, dead from gunshot wounds.

No names have been released.

Police are searching for a motive and are examining his online activity.

Pennsylvania police say a supermarket employee brought two guns to the store where he shot three fellow workers after the store had closed. He continued firing throughout the store before fatally shooting himself in the head, police said.

No comment was immediately from the Pennsylvania State Police. State police expected to release more information once the victims' families were notified.

Troopers found the bodies of three males and one female inside, and said another person who witnessed at least part of the episode survived unharmed, according to a statement from the Tunkhannock barracks.
