Should Trump's state visit to the United Kingdom be canceled?

'At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is "no reason to be alarmed!"' Trump wrote Sunday. "There's no reason to be alarmed", he said during an interview.

Mr Khan's spokesman initially said the mayor had "more important things to do than respond to Donald Trump's ill-informed tweet".

Trump criticized Khan on Twitter Monday for his handling of the attack, calling his efforts to calm the public a "pathetic excuse".

The Mayor said on Channel 4 last night that Trump's visit to the United Kingdom should be, consequently, cancelled.

He told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "The invitation has been issued and accepted and I see no reason to change that".

Khan had made the statement in order to address the increased police presence in London in the aftermath of the attack.

Khan said earlier this year Trump should be denied a state visit to Britain due to his "cruel and shameful" immigration policies. "I'm not tangoing with this guy, I've got better things to do", said Mr Khan.

Wawrinka, Nadal set up Paris showdown
By the anticlimactic close of what Murray termed "a very high-intensity match", he was complaining aloud about having "no legs". In each of Wawrinka's three Grand Slam finals, he has been the underdog, which is exactly the way he likes it.

May defended Khan, noting how he has been closely working with her to get the city back on track after a series of deadly attacks. 'We have constant attacks going on not just there but across the globe, and we have to start putting national security and global security at an all-time high'.

Some people with a propensity for self-destructive behavior can't seem to help themselves, President Trump apparently among them.

Of course, famous Londoner and known Trump critic J.K. Rowling had something to say about the situation, writing on Twitter on Tuesday, "I'd rather he [Trump] didn't come, but if he does, I'd like his vile Tweets juxtaposed against whatever he's been coaxed to read off an autocue". "Why would you want to stop them coming?"

Asked if Trump was wrong to make the comments, British Prime Minister Theresa May said at a news conference Monday that "Sadiq Khan is doing a good job and it's wrong to say anything else - he's doing a good job". "I commend the strong leadership of the @MayorofLondon as he leads the city forward after this heinous attack", he said in an official tweet.

MP David Lammy also agreed that Trump's state visit should be called off, as he responded to Trump's post with the below message.

Trump said he had spoken with May to express America's "unwavering support" and offer US assistance as the British government works to protect its citizens and bring the guilty to justice.
